Vintage pre-owned condition. No chips or cracks noticed (please see photos for close-up details). Light age-related wear may be present, especially to the gold trim, consistent with vintage pieces.

This set has been very well preserved. I did not find any damage to the hand-painted design or the raised moriage decoration. There are only minimal light surface scratches, consistent with age and gentle display wear.It looks like this vanity set was likely kept mostly for display rather than heavy use. Of course, due to its vintage nature, some age-related signs may be present, but overall it remains in beautiful, highly presentable condition.
Clasp Closure Note (Please Read):
The small metal clasp/closure on the lidded urn-style piece does not close tightly. It possibly was not designed to “click” shut firmly even when new — I honestly can’t confirm, as the detail is extremely small and I cannot clearly see any damage, even under magnification or it was broke.When closed, the top lid does not “catch” into the bottom part(Please review photos carefully as they are part of the description.)
