Vintage Longines manual-wind wristwatch featuring a striking square gold-tone case, black dial, and unusual sculptural articulated lugs.This is a particularly attractive vintage Longines design. The black dial features stylized gold-tone Arabic numerals, matching hands, and a subsidiary seconds register at 6 o’clock. The combination of the square case and exceptionally long fancy lugs gives the watch a wonderful Art Deco / mid-century appearance and considerable wrist presence despite the compact case size.Approximate dimensions:Case width: 25 mm

Lug width: 16 mmThe watch is running and was tested on a timegrapher. At the time photographed, the machine showed approximately +47 seconds per day, 190° amplitude, and 2.8 ms beat error. These readings are provided only as a snapshot of performance at the time of testing and are not a guarantee of future accuracy.The case shows normal age-related wear, scratches, and surface marks consistent with a vintage watch. The black dial also shows age and patina. Please examine the photographs carefully, as they form an important part of the description.The case back has a vintage personal engraving reading “J. NILON” along with the date “2-9-69.” I have left the engraving intact as part of the watch’s history.The watch is fitted with a black leather strap and gold-tone buckle. The strap shows considerable wear and should be regarded as used.This is a handsome and unusual vintage Longines with a terrific black-and-gold appearance and especially interesting lug architecture.
