This was purchased from my friend who is in her 70s.She used to work at the United Nations in the 1960\'s and1970s and bought this at UN the gift shop.It is an authentic Makonde Tree of Life fromTanzania made of Ebony wood.
It measures approximately 13 inches tall and around3 inches in diameter. There are small chips, cracks,wear, etc. It is not coming apart, nor can I find anyglue or repairs whatsoever. It is in original condition,unmodified. This was a hand carved and handchipped item and is well over 50 years old, sothere are imperfections, which is why I took highresolution, macro photos with good lighting.I edited each photo for clarity and detail.
