While vintage Genève Dynamics can still be found, this Racing dial configuration is considerably more desirable than the standard dial variants. Its bold black, silver/gray and orange color scheme has become one of the standout configurations among collectors of first-generation Dynamics.
The dial is exceptional: a deep black center is surrounded by a contrasting silver/gray ring and black outer minute track, punctuated by fine orange racing-style markings. Long luminous hour markers, white hands and the vivid orange sweep seconds hand create a highly graphic motorsport aesthetic that looks remarkably modern more than five decades later.

Omega produced the Dynamic with numerous dial and color combinations, but the dramatic Racing dial has become one of the most recognizable and sought-after versions of Ref. 166.039. Its contrasting concentric layout, orange minute track and matching orange seconds hand give it considerably more visual impact than the restrained dials found on many Dynamics.
The combination of the rare dial configuration, Caliber 565 automatic movement and iconic elliptical Dynamic case makes this an especially compelling example for an Omega collection.
The Dynamic itself was radically different from conventional watches of its era. Its large elliptical monocoque case was designed around the anatomy of the wrist, while its interchangeable strap system and highly graphic dials embodied the experimental industrial design of the late 1960s.
