Articulated bracelet has ten brass panels inlaid with 24K gold wire and silver wire using the damascene technique (zogan in Japanese): grooves traced on black lacquered metal into which the metallic wire is pressed without adhesives or solder, creating a permanent relief on a dark background. Each of the ten panels features a different scene from the classical Japanese repertoire, Mount Fuji among clouds, a five-story pagoda, rural houses with golden roofs, ancient pine trees, a crane beneath the full moon, cherry blossoms, butterflies and bamboo motifs.
