Up for sale is an authentic, original factory matched pair of vintage late 1970s / 1980s Sound Dynamics 12-inch high-efficiency rock/monitor woofer drivers.

Manufactured in Canada by Audio Products International (API), the legendary Canadian loudspeaker group behind Sound Dynamics, Energy, and Mirage. Pulled from classic high-sensitivity Sound Dynamics models such as the 12S, 1200 SMT, 120-S, and 12SC.

Features heavy stamped steel frames, bumped backplates with central magnet vent caps, and high-compliance cones stamped 12SC on the underside. One driver retains factory script \"Sound Dynamics\" on the magnet cover.

• Surround Condition (Needs Refoam): Both original foam surrounds have suffered normal vintage foam rot / deterioration and will require a standard 12\" replacement foam kit installed prior to active use (commonly refoamed with 12\" Sound Dynamics / Cerwin-Vega style surround kits).
• Cone & Frame Condition:
  • Woofer #1: Cone and center dust cap are clean and structurally solid.
  • Woofer #2: As disclosed, this driver is noticeably dirtier and exhibits rougher cosmetic wear/surface weathering and a rough edge along the cone perimeter where the old foam separated. Dust cap is intact.
• Frames & Motors: Stamped steel baskets and magnet assemblies are straight and structurally intact. Terminal strips are solid. Sold strictly AS-IS for refoaming and restoration.
