Today they gave me a cowboy hat.
This seems irresponsible because I am eight months old and have recently discovered that if I run fast enough through the house, nobody can catch me.
Anyway.
This is a vintage John B. Stetson Company 3X Beaver / XXX Stetson black Western cowboy hat, originally retailed by Mahoney’s of Spartanburg, South Carolina.
I immediately volunteered to wear it.
I was told absolutely not.

The original size tag is not present, so we are not guessing the size. Please compare the measurements above with a hat that fits you well before purchasing.
I suggested we simply label the size “COWBOY.”
Management rejected is a pre-owned vintage hat and it absolutely looks like it has lived a life.
There is visible dust, lint, surface soiling, scuffing and general age/use wear throughout. There are also loose/frayed threads and other signs of wear visible in the photographs. Interior lining and sweatband show age and use.
The hat has not been professionally cleaned, steamed, reshaped or restored. It is being offered exactly as found so the next owner can decide how they would like to handle cleaning or restoration.
Please examine all photographs carefully, as they are an important part of the condition description.
Personally, I think the dust makes it look more cowboy.
I rolled in something dead yesterday, though, so apparently my opinions regarding cleanliness are “not admissible.”
