Vintage Stewart-Warner Engine Electronics Analyzer, Model 3166, mounted on its original Stewart-Warner rolling service cart. This was professional automotive shop diagnostic equipment used for checking ignition timing, dwell, RPM, charging volts and amps, starting volts and amps, resistance and other engine electrical functions.
Includes the attached leads and accessories shown in the photos. The original car harness hookup diagram is still present on the top
The complete unit measures approximately 46 inches tall, 18.5 inches wide, and 17 inches deep. The analyzer box on top measures approximately 18 inches wide, 9 inches deep, and 12.5 inches tall and weighs about 16 pounds. The rolling frame by itself measures approximately 35.75 inches tall and weighs about 11 pounds.
I hooked the red and black leads up to a battery and both needles responded on the two gauges. I did not fully test all of the diagnostic functions, so it is being sold as partially tested/as-is.
The cords and leads generally look to be in good condition. The exception is the blue lead marked “COIL,” which the cord is dry and cracking and has electrical tape on it.
Shows normal age and use including scratches, paint wear, marks and some discoloration. Please review all photos closely for condition and exactly what is included.
