TOMY was one of the great innovators of the 1970s electronic-game explosion, creating incredibly clever games at a time when portable entertainment was still in its infancy. Blip – The Digital Game is a perfect example of that era. Long before LCD screens and handheld video games became commonplace, TOMY used ingenious electro-mechanical engineering to create fast, addictive electronic-style gameplay without a television. To a kid in the late 1970s, this felt like carrying a little piece of the future in your hands. These early TOMY games were not just toys—they were miniature engineering marvels that helped define an entirely new generation of electronic entertainment.
This example is especially exciting because it is STILL IN THE BOX, complete with its original Styrofoam packing. I carefully tested the game before listing it and it plays perfectly. The game itself is absolutely beautiful and appears near mint, exactly the kind of example collectors hope to find decades later. The original box does show storage wear and flaws, so please study all of the photos closely for condition. This is #4 of only four Blip games I am offering.
