This vintage Afghan Turkmen Maimana kilim features a soft dusty-pink field scattered with rows of small blue, brown, and cream star motifs, framed by a rich pink border of pictorial figures and a wide amber-and-black geometric outer border. The layered border structure and warm, earthy palette of pink, rust, brown, and cream are characteristic of Maimana weaving. Finished with long grey wool fringe at both ends.
