Vintage Vestal Alcobaca Portugal Blue White Reticulated Wall Plates Set of 4 For Sale

Beautiful vintage set of four Vestal Alcobaça-style hand-painted blue and white pottery wall plates, made in Portugal.This coordinated set features four different ornate pierced/reticulated border designs with classic cobalt blue floral decoration on a creamy white ground. Each plate has its own distinctive openwork design, making the four especially attractive displayed together as a wall grouping.All four are marked “Made in Portugal” on the reverse and individually numbered 501, 763, 950 and 1047.These plates are attributed to Vestal Alcobaça based on their forms, decoration and numbering. Of particular note, model 950 is documented on marked Vestal Alcobaça pottery, and the seller has a separately factory-marked Vestal Alcobaça plate with closely corresponding reticulated construction. The four plates offered here themselves are marked Made in Portugal rather than with the full Vestal factory stamp.Approximate diameters range from about 8” to 11”.
