Unique Candle by the Hour style coil candle with copper-tone metal stand and yellow/amber wax coil.This unusual candle design uses a long flexible coil of candle wax that wraps around the metal frame. The candle is fed upward through the spring-loaded holder at the top, allowing a portion of the candle to be burned at a time. Sometimes referred to as a courting-style or candle-by-the-hour candle.Condition: Pre-owned vintage condition with visible age and use. Metal has surface wear, discoloration/patina and wax residue. Candle has been previously burned and shows surface marks from storage/use. The lower end of the wax coil is broken/separated as shown in the close-up photos. Wax residue is also present around the upper mechanism.
