This listing is for a RemanufacturedVolkswagen/Audi 01M, 01N, 01P Valve Body, years 1999-UP. Ithas been upgraded over the OEM version for increased reliability. This valve body does have a Lock-Up Type Converter.These upgrades include: a New EPC Shift Solenoid, Updated TCC Valve, Modified Main/Boost/Solenoid Regulator Valves, Specific New Updated End Plugs, and all Solenoids have been Rebuilt or Replaced with new.PLEASE NOTE: There is a $100.00 Refundable Core Charge that has beenincludedin the BUY IT NOW price of the valve body. IdentificationDiagnosticGuide

A quick look at the history of this transmission. In 1990, Volkswagen introduced the 096transaxlein the Corrado and Passat models. In 1992 the 098 transmission was introduced in the Eurovan. In 1995 Audi introduced the 097 transmission.

All three of these transmissions use thesame valve body. In 1995 Volkswagen changed the design of these transmissions, thus the name change. The 096 became the 01M. The 097 became the 01N. The 098 became the 01P.Valve Body Quick IDThe 096/097/098 can be ID\'ed by a kidney shaped filter hole at the bottom of the valve body. The 01M/01N/01P can be identified by a round filter hole at the bottom of the valve body. Please see photos below.There have been three different 01M/N/P valve bodies over the years. The 1995-1996 01M/N/P can be identified by
the plastic end plug at the K1 actuator valve(See Figure 1). The 1997-1998 and the 1999 and UP valve bodies have
an aluminum end plug at the K1 actuator valve(See Figure 2).
The only way to accurately identify the valve body is to remove the upper separator plate and look for the last two
digits of the year cast into the valve body, or ID the worm track configuration(See Figure 3.1 and 3.2).(Figure 3.1)(Figure 3.2)
CAUTION! PLEASE BE AWARE: DO NOT ASSUME the year cast into the bottom aluminum
cover is the correct year! ALL 01M/N/P covers, regardless of model year, will fit and operate
correctly on any 01M/N/P Valve Body. Our remanufactured 01M/N/P valve bodiesWILL have
the correct year bottom cover.

Tiptronic vs. Non-Tiptronic Identification

Most Volkswagen\'s in the United States that use the 01M/N/P transmission are Non-Tiptronic,
however, there is a Tiptronic version of this transmission that is used in other parts of the world.

The Tiptronic Version of the 01M/N/P has different separator plates and the casting is also different.

The Tiptronic and the Non-Tiptronic Versions are NOT interchangeable.

As an assembly, both styles look very much alike, even side-by-side. On the opposite side of the valve
body from the EV-6 and DV-7 Solenoids, there are 3 valve bores. Please review the photos below to
determine which style01M/N/P you require.PLEASE NOTE: We remanufacture all years of the Non-TiptronicStyle. If you require a Tiptronic
style, we can remanufactureit for you on an R&R basis. Please contact us for a quote.Lastly, please see the below importantprocedure for when you replace the valve body.

WarrantyInformation We are proud to offeran exclusive Limited LIFETIME WARRANTY on each of our GUARANTEED Remanufactured Valve Bodies. During the first year, if the valve body is determined to be defective, it will be replaced.

After the first year, the valve body may be returned for repair or replacement, all you have to do is pay for the shipping charges to send it to us.

Failure to contact us before returning a valve body may result in a restocking fee. In addition, any unauthorized repairs, alterations, or disassembly WILL VOID THE WARRANTY! Proof of purchase may be required, so please keep a copy of your invoice just in case.

CoreChargeInstructions

BEFORE READINGALL OF THIS PLEASE BE AWARE WE DO NOT CHARGE A CORE ON ALL VALVE BODIES. If we do notcharge a core deposit, we just ask you use the prepaid core label to returnyour core if you do not want it. That way the next person who needs one will beable to get one. Thank you.

When you receiveyour valve body there will be a plastic pouch on the top of the box. Insidethis pouch is the packing slip and prepaid UPS Label for the core folded uptogether. Use this label and the box the new valve body comes in to ship yourcore back, just let the valve body drainand place it in a garbage bag before shipping please. Just stick thelabel on the box and drop it off at a UPS location and we will handle the rest.

You have 90 daysto return the core before things become complicated. After 90 days andmost credit card companies close the transaction and we can no longer processany refunds. We will accept cores after 90 days you will just have to contactus to arrange another way to receive the refund, through PayPal or another EFTprocessor.

We have beenshort-staffed since Covid so core processing may take 4-6 weeks once your coreis received. We are doing the best we can and we will get your core charge backto you, we just ask for your patience and understanding.
