This specific maker mark belongs to Bruner-Ritter, Inc. (often branded as Bradfield B/R or simply B/R). They were a prominent American manufacturer of high-quality watch bracelets, attachments, and cases from the 1920s through the 1950s, based out of New York and Bridgeport, Connecticut.
This watch band features a classic vintage folding deployment clasp system rather than an expandable stretch link design:
-Folding Extension: The central plaque functions as the outer cover of a multi-part, hinged folding mechanism. When unlatched, the metal arms hidden underneath unfold, significantly widening the circumference of the bracelet.
-Easy Wearing: This unfolding action allows the band to easily slip over the hand without completely separating into two unattached pieces. Once over the wrist, the arms fold back on top of each other and click securely into place.
-Non-Stretch Links: The geometric open links on either side of the clasp are rigid and joined by fixed mechanical pins. They do not contain internal springs, meaning the link sections themselves will not stretch or expand when pulled.
