The lid is beautifully hand-painted with a classic Southwestern desert scene, depicting a large, blooming green saguaro cactus with bright yellow flowers, a smaller prickly pear cactus, and distant desert mountain ridges silhouetted against a vibrant red setting sun.The interior features a bright, silver-tone base metal frame. The loose powder compartment is secured by a spring-hinged metal inner door decorated with a beautiful engine-turned concentric wave pattern (guilloche style).
