Vintage partial matching vintage set of Beefeater London Dry Gin Martini Glasses
These are authentic promotional barware piece distributed during the late 20th century
So what are the features....
1 - Classic conical V shaped bowl featuring the iconic white frosted/etched "BEEFEATER LONDON DRY" logo
2 - The stemwork is a molded stem with a faceted stem and detailed decorative knob under the bowl
3 - About 6 inches tall and bowl diameter of 4 inches
4 - Holds about 6.5 ounces
A bit of history...
These glasses were part of an aggressive marketing era by Beefeater Gin during the 70s and 80s. The goal was to secure visual dominance in the cocktail lounges and in home bars. Distilleries custom ordered branded stemware to serve as promotional items. The classic V shape of the martini glass itself goes back to 1952 Paris Exhibition. They were designed to keep a user's warm hand away from the chilled gin and to allow the spirit's complex botanicals to "open up" to the air.
These are quite Mad Men (Corporate Chic / Mid Century Modern) home bar set up - It would pair well with sleek wood finishes and minimalist bar carts. Would also fit into a 90s/Y2K Lounge - during the branded liquor merchandise and massive martini bowls had a major revival! This style would hit a lot of your different design notes
