Today I am offering this awesome vintage ashtray featuring the University of Kansas Jayhawks mascot, Big Jay.
This is a heavyweight clear glass ashtray in a rectangular shape.
It is slightly tapered and has four cigarette notches, one on each corner.
The underside is covered in black velvety felt material to prevent scratches on your furniture.
You\'ll find the image of Big Jay, the iconic crimson red and blue Jayhawk bird mascot, sandwiched under the glass in the bottom of the ashtray.
This piece measures approximately as follows:
- 2¾\" from side to side across the front.
- 3¾\" from top to bottom.
- 1⅛\" deep.
It is in new, unused condition with zero flaws. The original label is still on the underside with a manufacturer\'s name of HP industries, Inc.
Whether you use this for cigarettes, cigars, or other smokables, that\'s up to you. They\'ll even make great catch-all trinket dish trays.
It\'s a very neat and UNIQUE gift item for the KU student or alumni.
