This Normandy clarinet is in beautiful condition. It is untested. A serial number search shows it was produced in France during 1967 or 1968. There are just a few scratches worth noting..
The keys have good action, but I did not test the playability. I am not a clarinet player, but have experience with flutes. The pads seem good, but all I know is there is a receipt in the case showing pad and cork replacement. The receipt is dated 1984. So you know it was professionally serviced no more than 15,300 days ago.
All joking aside, I do not know the last time it was played or serviced. The only history I know is I purchased it at an estate sale in August. 2026.
The metal parts all look good with just a couple tiny spots of green. The large metal ring on the horn is loose and can be moved and twisted around the rim.
It will be shipped in a case. The case has seen better days. Putter parts see the rubber border on top and bottom pulling away with exposed wood. Inside is the expected staining from used.
It comes with a vintage music holder and cleaning cloth. .
