Kobayashi KiyochikaKoka 4 (1847) - Taisho 4 (1915)Ukiyoe artist. His aliases include Hoensha and Shinseiro. Although he never had a specific master, he was a close friend of Renjo Shimooka and Kyosai Kawanabe, and also interacted with Korema Shibata. He also studied Western-style painting under Wagman for a time around 1876. He developed a new style of nishiki-e (nishiki-e), \"ray paintings,\" incorporating Western painting techniques.
