The True Temper brand originated in 1906 when American Fork & Hoe Co. began using the “True Temper” trademark for farm and garden tools. In 1930, American Fork & Hoe acquired Kelly Axe Manufacturing Co., and by 1931 the brand was also applied to axes, adzes, and other cutting tools. The Kelly Works in Charleston, West Virginia, became a major production site for agricultural implements, including scythe blades.
Very Good Condition for its Age. Snathe is in very good condition. Handles are strong and sturdy yet. Snathe measures 60\" long with the blade being 26\" long and 2\" wide at the rib and 2 7/8\" on the end.Handles measure 4 1/2\" long.
