A superb rare Art Deco German antique solid silver and glass lined salt cellar. It is hallmarked with the German crescent moon & crown mark along with a makers mark. I would date it to c1920s. It has been superbly designed in the form of a duck, lightly plannished. It is in superb condition being from dings splits holes and repairs. The liner is free from chips cracks and repairs. It measures over 3 inches (7.7cm) long by over 1.25 inches (3.4cm) wide by 1.5 inches ( 3.8cm) tall and weighs 40 grams with its liner and 20 grams without. A rare piece.
