WORKING Thermo Fisher Scientific TSQ Vantage Triple Quadrupole Mass Spectrometer: $4999.00
Thermo Fisher ScientificTSQ VantageTriple Quadrupole Mass SpectrometerWORKING CONDITION. The system has been tested for power, vacuum, and basic operation. It has not been tested for sensitivity or stability, which would require a full setup and calibration solutions for precise results. The listing includes images of the device, the readbacks, software used (Windows 11), and its performance using a test solution of tetraalkylammonium cations (calibration followed by Q1 MS, Q3 MS, and MS/MS of m/z 466). The syringe pump and LC valve, located on the front, were tested. Notes:1) The detector voltage operates at ~1100V.2) Only ESI was tested. APCI was not. The readbacks reflect the use of ESI.3) No nitrogen sheath gas was used as it was not available at the time. Accordingly, the readbacks display a low nitrogen pressure.4) The only cosmetic issue is that the the front left post in picture 8 (front cover removed) is sheared off. The cover itself still clips in and is held in place. The post is used to guide the front panel into position on the instrument. The listing does not include the pumps (2 Edwards E2M30\'s), cables, or the computer. The pumps and vacuum tubing could be included for an additional cost (send me a message if interested). With its advanced capabilities for trace-level detection and quantification, the TSQ Vantage is optimized for complex sample analysis where high sensitivity, precision, and reliability are crucial. This mass spectrometer is known for its exceptional sensitivity, wide dynamic range, and robustness in quantitative analysis. It is particularly popular in applications requiring high-throughput analysis, multi-component analysis, and the detection of low-abundance compounds in complex matrices.
Key Features of the Thermo Fisher TSQ Vantage Series Mass Spectrometer:1. Triple Quadrupole (TQ) Technology:- The TSQ Vantage is built on the triple quadrupole architecture, which consists of three quadrupole mass analyzers that offer high sensitivity and selectivity for quantitative analysis.
- Q1 (Quadrupole 1): Used for selecting precursor ions based on their mass-to-charge ratio (m/z).
- Q2 (Collision Cell): Where ions undergo collision-induced dissociation (CID), breaking them into fragment ions for further analysis.
- Q3 (Quadrupole 3): Used for selecting and measuring fragment ions (daughter ions) produced from the collision process.
- The Q3 provides excellent quantitative data by measuring the abundance of the fragmented ions, while Q1 and Q3 enhance selectivity and sensitivity by allowing for precise mass filtering.
2. Extreme Sensitivity and Low Detection Limits:- The TSQ Vantage is designed for trace-level analysis, offering ultra-low detection limits for the detection of compounds present at ppt (parts per trillion) or ppb (parts per billion) levels. This makes it suitable for environmental monitoring, pharmaceutical analysis, and clinical diagnostics, where detecting trace contaminants or biomarkers is critical.
- The Quantitative Ion Monitoring (QIM) feature allows for high-sensitivity detection of low-abundance ions, improving signal-to-noise ratio and accuracy in complex samples.
3. Fast and Accurate Quantification:- The TSQ Vantage provides high-throughput analysis, capable of measuring multiple compounds in a single sample quickly and accurately. This is especially important for multi-component quantification and batch testing, where many different analytes need to be quantified in parallel.
- With its fast scan speeds and precise ion monitoring, it ensures accurate quantification even in complex matrices such as biological fluids, environmental samples, or food matrices.
4. High Dynamic Range:- The TSQ Vantage has an exceptionally wide dynamic range for quantification, allowing it to measure compounds that differ vastly in concentration (e.g., from low ng/mL to μg/mL concentrations) without compromising the accuracy or precision of measurements.
- The system ensures that both trace analytes and high-abundance components can be measured simultaneously without signal saturation.
5. Advanced Ion Source and Interface:- The TSQ Vantage features advanced ionization sources like electrospray ionization (ESI) and tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) to improve ionization efficiency, especially for polar and thermally labile compounds.
- The heated electrospray ionization (HESI-II) source delivers enhanced sensitivity and is ideal for bioanalytical applications, such as the analysis of proteins, peptides, and metabolites.
- The system\'s ion transfer interface ensures efficient transmission of ions from the ion source to the quadrupoles, minimizing loss of analyte and maintaining high sensitivity.
6. Thermo Fisher\'s High-Performance Ion Trap:- The system is equipped with Thermo Fisher’s High-Performance Ion Trap for enhanced dynamic range and high-resolution analysis. This technology is essential when analyzing complex mixtures, providing increased sensitivity and accuracy for qualitative and quantitative measurements.
7. Quantitative and Qualitative Capabilities:- The TSQ Vantage offers quantitative analysis with high precision and qualitative analysis for structural elucidation using its MS/MS capabilities.
- The system’s ability to analyze precursor and fragment ions makes it well-suited for quantitative method development and qualitative structure determination of target compounds.
8. Thermo Scientific™ Quan browser and Quan/Qual software:- The TSQ Vantage integrates seamlessly with Thermo Fisher’s software, such as Thermo Scientific™ Quan Browser and Thermo Scientific™ Xcalibur™ for data acquisition and processing.
- The software provides advanced data analysis tools for quantification, qualitative analysis, and method development, allowing researchers to streamline workflows and automate routine tasks.
- Quan/Qual software helps simplify the analysis of complex data and ensures reliable results through a robust data review and reporting system.
9. Multiple Modes for Analysis:- Multiple reaction monitoring (MRM): The primary technique used for quantitative analysis in TSQ Vantage, where specific precursor-to-product ion transitions are measured, providing excellent selectivity for targeted analysis.
- Simultaneous multiple reaction monitoring (SRM): This feature allows multiple transitions to be monitored at the same time, which increases the throughput of multi-target analysis.
- Data-independent acquisition (DIA): For qualitative analysis, the TSQ Vantage also supports DIA, enabling it to collect data across multiple ions without prior knowledge of target compounds.
10. Ease of Use and Automation:- The TSQ Vantage offers a user-friendly interface with customizable software that simplifies method development, data acquisition, and analysis. The software allows users to create custom workflows and automate routine tasks, thus reducing operator errors and improving throughput.
- The system is also equipped with advanced calibration features and automated tuning, ensuring optimal performance with minimal user intervention.
