WWII Japanese Cargo Ship Kwajalein Islands Salvaged Wooden Shoes For Sale

Up for sale are ** 2 ** wooden shoe soles from the WWII era salvaged in the area of many sunken Japanese Cargo Ships in the Kwajalein Islands. These ships were sunk in the Kwajalein Islands in 1944 by US Navy Carriers. The shoes wre salvaged in the late summer of 1965. This is part of the collection from a Maine estate belonging to one of the men that did diving and salvage work for Bell Telephone. They had a team in the Kwajalein Islands testing the first US anti-ICBM system. Not attributed to any one ship these shoes are not a pair measure 9 inches long. More documentation about the diver who salvaged them provided to the buyer.
