WWII Pacific US Servicemen Japanese Flag Machine Gun Original Photo For Sale

Original World War II-era photograph showing a large group of approximately 25 American servicemen posing together at a tropical military encampment, believed to be in the Pacific Theater, circa 1942–1945.

The men are gathered around a prominently displayed Japanese Hinomaru national flag, apparently a captured wartime souvenir or trophy. A Japanese Type 96/Type 99-pattern light machine gun, or similar weapon, is displayed in the foreground, with additional military equipment visible.

The flag appears to bear faint inscriptions, potentially consistent with a Japanese yosegaki hinomaru (good-luck flag), although the markings have not been positively identified.

Behind the group are a large military tent and dense tropical vegetation, possibly a coconut grove.

An evocative original wartime image documenting servicemen in the field and their apparent display of captured Japanese military material.
