In analytical chemistry, High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) relies on continuous, pulse-free solvent flow under high pressures (up to 5,000 psi) coupled with automated sample injection to separate complex mixtures into constituent molecular fractions. The Waters 2695 integrates a quaternary solvent delivery manager, active seal wash, and high-precision autosampler into a single benchtop module.
Testing & Operating Condition
Power Test: Unit powers on without system faults.
Self-Test Diagnostics: Passed self-diagnostics cleanly (CPU, ROM, RAM, Keypad, Display, DMA, GPIB, Flash, DSP, Floppy, Clock all report OK).
Display: Screen backlight and contrast adjustments function properly with legible text readout.
Mechanism: Autosampler carousel door opens cleanly; needle drive and syringe stage initialize on cycle.
Overall Testing Level: Bench-tested for electronic initialization and power functions only. Full fluidic pressure validation with mobile phase and chromatography software integration (Empower) has not been performed; sold as shown in photos.
