These volumes use the Cambridge Text of William Aldis Wright, with introduction and notes by Israel Gollancz. Illustrated frontispieces and decorative title pages are shown in the books.

Each of the 11 volumes contains a similar handwritten gift inscription. One photographed example is dated 1913, adding an interesting period association to the collection.
Condition
Pre-owned books with substantial age and binding wear. The covers and spines show varying degrees of deterioration, including worn and missing exterior covering, peeling, exposed binding areas, fraying, edge and corner wear, and hinge/binding wear. Previous tape/repair is present in areas. Pages show age-related toning.
Condition varies from book to book. These are approximately 125-year-old volumes and are being sold in the condition shown.
