This is ideal for licensed amateur radio operators, SWLs, new digital mode users, emergency communications practice, portable radio setups, and anyone wanting a small dedicated ham radio laptop.

👋 Personally Set Up, Cleaned & Tested

Each laptop is set up by hand, cleaned, inspected, and tested before shipment. I do not just install software and throw the laptop in a box.

I have a Bachelor’s degree in Information Science & Technology and have sold over 100 laptops on across my laptop kit projects. I genuinely enjoy preparing these systems and knowing customers are using them for real day-to-day tasks, learning, ham radio, and emergency communications practice.

These are used laptops, so cosmetic wear should be expected, but I do not ship laptops that I would not personally feel comfortable using myself.

This kit is built around a compact 11-inch class laptop, making it much easier to carry, store, and pack compared to larger 15-inch laptops.

The smaller size makes it a great option for portable ham radio setups, emergency communications practice, go-kits, travel, field use, and limited-space operating areas.

For buyers who want a lightweight, portable digital modes laptop instead of a large bulky computer, this kit is designed to be practical and easy to move around.

💡 About Storage & System Setup

To improve reliability and prevent “out of storage” issues, this kit is configured with the included 128GB USB 3.0 flash drive as the main system drive.

This gives the laptop more usable storage for Windows, applications, updates, logs, messages, downloads, and ham radio software files.

The USB drive is intended to remain installed during normal use.

🧪 Performance Tested

This laptop was tested by opening the major included ham radio applications together, including FLRIG, FLDIGI, FLMSG, FLAMP, JS8Call, WSJT-X, Winlink Express, CHIRP, GridTracker, N1MM Logger+, and QLog.

The system remained responsive and handled the software suite well during testing.

For a compact 11-inch class laptop, this makes it a surprisingly capable portable digital modes setup.

Please note that final configuration still depends on the customer’s specific radio, sound card, audio interface, COM ports, and station setup.

📄 First-Time Use Notes Included

A customer setup folder is included on the desktop with first-time use notes and an installed software list.

The guide explains what software is installed, what to open first, and what still needs to be configured by the customer.

This helps make the kit easier to understand, especially for buyers who are new to Windows ham radio software or digital modes.

ℹ️ Important Notes, Please Read

Pre-installed means the software has been installed and tested to launch.

You will still need to:

• Connect to Wi-Fi
• Enter your own callsign, grid square, and station details where required
• Select your audio input/output devices
• Configure settings for your specific radio/interface
• Configure CAT control, COM ports, PTT, and sound card levels if needed
• Accept third-party software license agreements where required on first launch

Transmitting on amateur radio frequencies requires a valid amateur radio license.

This system is suitable for listening, monitoring, learning, logging, software practice, and digital mode setup practice without transmitting.

🔍 Condition

This is a used laptop and will show cosmetic wear from normal previous use.

Cosmetic wear may include scratches, light scuffs, sticker marks, worn plastics, worn rubber feet, worn LCD trim, or similar used laptop wear. Overall, these laptops are in good used condition, and I do not ship any laptop that I would not personally feel comfortable using myself.

The laptop is fully functional and tested prior to shipment.

The laptop you receive will be similar to the one shown in the photos/videos.
