I am disposing my personal collection of vacuum tube and vintage solid state components.
From my personal collection is a cosmetically excellent Pioneer SX-3900 stereo receiver.
Years Made: 1980-1981
POWER Output: 120 watts per channel
I have owned this receiver for about 15 years. I purchased it in it\'s present condition with the goal of making the necessary repairs and add this highly regarded SX-3900 to my collection of monster receivers. But, business came first and this SX-3900 has sat in a controlled environment untouched for all these years.
This SX-3900 powers up, the relay engages, lights and radio tuning indicator works, but no sound from speakers or headphone.
After testing again, I have recently flushed out and blow dried the chassis with my Ampmedic Dielectric Control and Component Wash to include all the input/outputs, speaker connections, tuner, etc.I have also pulled the faceplate and all the controls and also flushed themwith my Ampmedic Dielectric Control and Component Wash, then applied proper \'control lube\'.
NOTE: I do not use \'contact cleaner\' which can damage carbon tracks and any internal plastic to clean \'controls\' such as volume pots, or any control pot used in the signal path and neither should you. Contact cleaner should only be used to clean momentary metal to metal \'CONTACTS\'.
