Step back into 1982—the very peak of Atari’s golden era. Arcades were packed with kids pumping quarters into machines, the Atari 2600 was king of the living room, and the Atari Home Computer line was making its mark. During this time, Atari produced a series of vibrant cardboard promotional sign boards, sold in stores like Kmart for just 79 cents.
Today, these signs have become super collectible and incredibly hard to find. Measuring over 2 feet tall and more than a foot wide, they are full-color, double-sided prints designed to hang from ceilings, display in windows,or mount proudly on a wall.
This particular piece has been in storage for over 40 years. It was never used, making it an outstanding survivor of Atari’s retail history. Like all vintage cardboard, it isn’t flawless—there may be minor creases or age wear (see photos for details)—but it remains an eye-catching display piece from gaming’s golden age.
