Original lap mat from IN-N-OUT in laminated/preserved condition, early locations listed, scalloped edge.
Historically significant because in 1971 the butcher paper lap mats were replaced with printed mats that offered information to customers. "Early mats featuring local maps with In-N-Out location would often wind up in glove boxes to help drivers find their way around town." That was taken from In-N-Outs history section.
The wording of this lap mat says "The same menu for twenty-three years". Since In-N-Out started in 1948 this lap mat dates to 1971, the exact time they introduced the first printed lap mats!!!
