c1890\'s Japanese Meiji Period Bronze? Silver?Ikebana Lotus Blossom Bowl:
$395.00
I found this at an estate sale of an admiral who had spent time in Japan and China. I have probably had it 25 years and I finally took it in to have my jeweler tested for Sterling and he said it’s not Sterling but wouldn’t comment on what he thought it might be. I see a bronze color that comes through the tarnish, but I’ve never understood this piece very well until Google lens today, so I believe it is Japanese Ichi Bana. I did see a couple of Chinese pieces that looked very similar so please understand that I really don’t know a lot about this piece, but I know that it’s very old and very, very finally detailed and very, very finally made. It stands just fine but I don’t know if it had a base or something else. I’ve just kept it with my Sterling items and thought it looked beautiful.
