all of our lam-top guitar bodies are finished to 0.25 inch for the perfect thickness to glue on a less expensive carve top to give it that extra pop that makes it custom
Thermally modified wood is simply “cooked wood” in a short explanation it is put in a vacuum chamber so it doesn\'t combust, and heated up to 300 degrees or more and the heat makes the wood have a darker appearance and also alleviates some worries about warping and adds stability, That being said the heat sometimes does add a little warping in the thinner pieces and rarely in the thicker pieces.
