Collated, illustrated with forty-six lithograph plates, six of which are double page. Lacking two plates, being plates 45 and 46.
Parts I and II contained an account of existing works on Phoeniecian letters, inscriptions, gods and language.
With a library stamp and library bookplate to the front pastedown.

CONDITION
In the original paper covered boards, rebacked in cloth. Bumping to back strip head and tail, with rubbing to joints. Bumping to board perimeters. Handling marks to front board. Front hinge detached from text block, with rear hinge strained and tenderly held. Bookplate and library stamp to front pastedown. Internally, three gatherings detached and loosely inserted, with text block detached between plates 20 and 21. Significant spotting and handling marks throughout. Lacking plates 45 and 46.
