Unusual \"first year\" special delivery cover with E1 and #210, New York to Cleveland. \"due 2\" handstamp, with 2 cent postage due added . Banker corner card; cover with some soiling. Not clear if the cover was returned originally because it did not bear the 2 cent first class postage, or if it was double rate and the due 2 was charged in Cleveland. Either way, special delivery covers during the first year (Oct. 1 1885 to September 30 1886) are uncommon, and from a period where special delivery service was only available in specific larger cities and towns.
