Up for sale is a 2010 Panini Absolute Memorabilia Star Gazing PRIME card of Dez Bryant of the Dallas Cowboys, card number 6, hand-numbered 23/25, carrying two large prime event-worn jersey windows. Authenticated by the manufacturer, photographed here front and back exactly as you will receive it.
Serial numbered 23/25. The print run is stamped in the top left corner of the back: 23/25. Twenty-five copies of this card exist anywhere in the world. That is the number on the back of this specific card, not a general description of the parallel — it is photographed and you can read it for yourself. Twenty-five is the kind of run that makes a card genuinely hard to replace rather than merely hard to find.
Two prime jersey windows, cut as his own number. The front is die-cut into a huge 88 — Bryant\'s jersey number — and each digit is a window onto the material behind it. This is prime swatching, not a plain single-colour patch: you can see Cowboys navy running against white panelling with the jersey\'s own stitched seam and eyelet line crossing the material. PRIME is stamped at the top of the card, and the two windows are among the largest Panini cut into anything that year.
What Panini certifies. The back of the card carries Panini\'s own wording, quoted here exactly: \"The enclosed piece of jersey was cut from an Authentic Jersey personally worn by Dez Bryant on 5/22/10 at the NFL PLAYERS Rookie Premiere. The authentic Event-Worn Jersey was obtained and is guaranteed by Panini America, Inc.\" To be completely clear: this is event-worn material from a dated, named occasion — the Rookie Premiere photo shoot in May 2010 — and not game-worn material from an NFL Sunday. I would rather say that plainly than let the word \"worn\" do the work for me.
Autograph-free — this card is not signed. Absolute produced both signed and unsigned versions of its rookie-year memorabilia cards, and this is an unsigned one. What you are buying is two prime swatches on a card numbered to twenty-five. If a signature is what you are after, this is not the card.
The look. A landscape card built on a deep space-and-fire background — copper, orange and blue burning across the whole surface behind diagonal white shafts, which is where the Star Gazing name comes from. The Absolute Memorabilia shield and the word PRIME sit in the top left, DEZ BRYANT reads up the left edge and COWBOYS / WR up the right, a cut-out of Bryant running the ball in Dallas blue 88 stands at the right, and STARGAZING is set across the foot in blue and white capitals. The two jersey windows dominate the middle of the card. It photographs well but it is considerably better in hand.
Dez Bryant. A receiver out of Lufkin, Texas, Bryant was a consensus All-American at Oklahoma State, where in 2008 he caught 87 passes for 1,480 yards and 19 touchdowns. Dallas took him 24th overall in the 2010 draft and he caught 45 passes for 561 yards and six touchdowns as a rookie while also returning a punt for a score. He then put together three consecutive 1,200-yard seasons, and in 2014 led the NFL with 16 receiving touchdowns on 88 catches for 1,320 yards, earning first-team All-Pro honours in a season that ended with the most argued-over catch of the decade in the divisional round at Green Bay. He made three Pro Bowls, finished with more than 7,400 receiving yards, and still holds the Dallas Cowboys franchise record with 73 career receiving touchdowns.
About 2010 Panini Absolute Memorabilia. Absolute Memorabilia has been one of the hobby\'s signature high-end football releases since the late 1990s, and the 2010 edition arrived at the perfect moment: that draft class produced Ndamukong Suh, Dez Bryant, Rob Gronkowski, Jason Pierre-Paul, Rolando McClain, Eric Decker and Colt McCoy, and Absolute put them all in the same product. The set is built around thick, foil-heavy cards, die-cut memorabilia windows and low serial numbers, and the PRIME parallels — where the swatch is multi-coloured and shows real jersey construction — are the ones collectors chase fifteen years on.
Condition. This card has been inspected front and back under direct light and is in excellent shape. Corners are sharp, the edges are clean, the surface is free of creases, dents and print defects, and both memorabilia windows are flush and fully intact with no lifting. It has been stored in a penny sleeve inside a rigid top loader and has not been handled outside of protection. Please study the photographs closely — they are of the exact card you will receive, not a stock image, and they are the most accurate description of condition I can give you.
