A brass palaska (cartridge box), most likely dating from the 19th or early 20th century.
These ornate brass containers were worn on a belt by Ottoman soldiers to hold gunpowder, flints, or paper cartridges for firearms.
They were produced across the Ottoman Empire, including regions of the Balkans and Greece.
In great condition.
