Important early American antique coin silver sauce or cream ladle crafted by the prestigious Boston, Massachusetts silversmithing partnership Lincoln & Reed, active between 1838 and 1848. Measures precisely 19cm in length, featuring a traditional heavy fiddle-pattern handle with elegant shoulder flares and a deep, circular bowl. The front handle face displays an exquisite, hand-engraved period script monogram of the letter B. The reverse neck is cleanly hallmarked with the maker\'s crisp debossed rectangular manufacturer stamp reading LINCOLN & REED. Hand-hammered from high-purity coin silver, the ladle is in superb antique pre-owned condition with clean lines, smooth rims, and bright reflective surfaces. There are no heavy dents, deep scratches, splits, or old solder repairs to the metal. A beautiful and scarce survival of mid-19th-century New England silversmithing heritage, perfect for collectors of historical American flatware, estate silver service settings, or holiday dining use. Please review all close-up photographs for a detailed look at the hallmark clarity, engraving flourishes, and exact physical condition. Carefully packed and shipped with trackable international postage options from Toowoomba. Happy to combine shipping with any of my other vintage listings.
