This authentic antique French picture frame features a thick sheet of clear beveled glass supported by a brass easel stand with ball feet and a detailed Louis XVI ribbon bow crest. It retains its original cardboard backing and antique French studio photograph of two young children by J.B. Lassablière of Saint-Étienne. Equipped with both a functional folding easel strut and a top hanging ring, it displays beautifully on a tabletop, vanity, desk, or wall. Its classic French provincial elegance brings warm historical character to any curated gallery or bedside vignette.
CONDITION
Good antique condition with honest, minor wear consistent with age and use. The heavy beveled glass remains clear and bright, displaying minor edge fleabites on the corners and a small shallow chip on the bottom corner. The cast brass ribbon crest, support bar, and folding easel leg show an attractive natural aged patina with surface tarnish and operate properly. The original paper/cardboard backing exhibits edge wear, peeling, and natural age-toning, while keeping the photograph securely in place. Please review all photos for details.
