I've loved this piece since 2019. The porcelain cup is large with a high scroll handle. The piece stands 3.75 inches tall - 4.75 with the handle. Bottom diameter is 2 and 15/16 inch wide. The top diameter across is 4 and 1/8 inches. I'm guessing the capacity is 8-10 ounces.
The porcelain is painted with fine line brush strokes in black and dark gray. I know there's a name for the style; I believe it might be grisse. It's a very classical representation of a male and female cherub facing each other holding laurel wreaths with a pastural scene behind them. In the center is a cartouche with a pansy flower and the words A MOI (To Me) in French. To the inside of the scrolled handle, there is a moon-shaped carved image of a warrior or a God. I'm not sure who he's supposed to be.
Disclosure: the previous owner/seller stated that the handle was broken and re-glued. I have a picture of the 2 sections. The inner rim of gold was badly worn, and I painted it with gold which greatly improved its display. Inside there are some gold spots from the original factory painting.
I paid $190 for it. Many thanks for looking and be sure to expand the pictures for a good look! I'll include my original paperwork in the package.
