This is an exceptional, authentic antique Imperial Russian brass ewer (pitcher/krug) dating from the late 19th Century to early 20th Century (pre-1917, Tsarist era).
This historic vessel features a striking, high-relief embossed Imperial Double-Headed Eagle on the main body, framed by elegant acanthus flourishes.
Authenticity Markings:
The underside/interior of the piece bears the official pre-revolutionary stamped hallmark of the prestigious Alexander Kolchugin Partnership ("ТОВАРИЩЕСТВО КОЛЬЧУГИНА"). The circular stamp features the Russian state coat of arms/imperial eagle in the center, certifying its status as premium-grade housewares produced under the Russian Empire.

This item is in beautiful antique condition with an incredibly warm, rich patina. There are typical, minor signs of age-appropriate surface wear, minor scuffs, and tiny micro-dings as expected with genuine 100+ year old metalware. The main factory stamp is clearly legible, and the prominent eagle design remains sharp and highly detailed. (Please see all high-resolution photos for exact cosmetic condition). The base does have a minor uneven section but it doesn’t detract from the overall beauty. See photo. It is also missing a brass hinge pin so the cover is removable. Very simple to replace.
