Antique Kralik Bohemian Art Glass Vase Gold Maroon Iridescent Pulled Thread 6"
eautiful antique Bohemian art glass vase attributed to Wilhelm Kralik Söhne, dating to the Art Nouveau period, circa early 1900s. This striking piece features a warm golden-amber glass body with an iridescent surface and an intricate organic network of maroon/oxblood pulled-thread decoration.
The vase has an elegant gourd or onion-form body that narrows dramatically through the waist before opening into a long, slender neck. Depending on the angle and lighting, the iridescent surface produces flashes of pink, magenta, violet, blue and green, particularly across the heavier threaded decoration near the lower body.
The irregular applied decoration gives the vase a wonderful organic quality characteristic of turn-of-the-century Bohemian art glass. The underside has a flat polished base with a recessed center. Unsigned.
Measures approximately 6" tall.
Excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or repairs observed. Please review all photographs closely, as they form an important part of the description and show the coloration, iridescence and applied decoration from multiple angles.
