Antique Kralik Uranium Art Glass Vase 8" Iridescent Gourd UV Glow Bohemian
Striking antique Bohemian uranium art glass vase attributed to Wilhelm Kralik Söhne, dating to the Art Nouveau period, circa early 1900s. This unusual 8-inch vase features a sculptural stacked gourd form with three distinct bulbous sections, a narrow waist and broad open collar at the top.
The glass has a warm peach, amber and pale pink appearance under normal lighting, with an iridescent surface that produces beautiful pearlescent gold, green and pink highlights. Throughout the glass are irregular cream/white and salmon-toned inclusions that create a dense mottled or confetti-like pattern, particularly through the lower body.
Under ultraviolet light, the glass fluoresces an exceptionally bright neon green, as shown in the included UV photograph. The fluorescence has been tested and photographed; the UV image is included to demonstrate the reaction of the glass.
The vase is unsigned. The underside shows a finished base, and the open upper rim reveals the thickness and layered coloration of the glass.
Measures approximately 8" tall.
Excellent antique condition with no chips, cracks or structural repairs observed. No significant internal water cloudiness noted. Minor irregularities, bubbles, inclusions and variations associated with handmade antique glass may be present.
