Antique staved wooden bucket/pail with red and black lacquered or painted finish, iron bands, riveted hardware, and bail handle. The form, finish, and construction appear consistent with antique Asian/Chinese primitive well buckets, and similar examples are often described as Chinese Qing Dynasty or late Qing/early Republic period buckets.Exact age, origin, and use are unverified.
