CA 1840 Oil Painting of Lady For Sale

However, I am more than willing to work out problems that may come up as long as things stay civil.
Up for sale: A CA 1840 portrait of a plain faced lady in good condition, ready to hang (but could use a cleaning and varnishing which should be left up to someone who knows what they are doing - incorrect cleaning solutions, including water based, could damage it).
The oil painting is on old canvas, backed (lined) by some sort of stiff board. It is not signed as far as I can tell. The exposed part of the painting measures 21 1/2 by 27 1/2 inches. The frame (not old) measures 27 1/4 by 33 1/4 inches.
The package weighs about 19 pounds and measures 5 X 30 X 38 1/2 inches. The painting is well packed and even has a thin stiff sheet of wood over the front for additional protection.
I usually look at my messages just a few times a day so please be patient.

Those with a record of not paying for items they won or bought are not welcome. People with private ratings may not offer or buy - sorry. I take a dim view of buyers who leave rude response for others, whether it is deserved or not.
Shipping prices quoted on my sales are for US continental (48 state) destinations only (USPS with tracking) - all others please inquire before paying.
INTERNATIONAL buyers: Please contact me first before offerding! There are some countries I will not ship to. Please ask first. Be sure to check your import restrictions! Some countries have import restrictions on gold, silver and jewelry, including watches. International shipping with insurance can be expensive and the item may not be fully covered if it is insured, due to the shipper\'s (and sometimes the destination country\'s) set limits on insurance. Shipping must be trackable. I will file a claim if the package is not received, but the risk is yours. Packages can get held up in customs, which I have no control over. I am not responsible for customs or import duties, fees or taxes, customs seizures or damage caused by customs agents. I have shipped to Canada, many European countries and Japan - so far, I have not had a package lost in the mail, but there is always a first time.
Payment is expected within 3 days. I always let my buyers know when their items have been mailed off.
I reserve the right to cancel any offers or sales by people that cannot comply with these simple requests.
