Always a treasure to find Gerda Lynggaard MONIES. This Danish designer used staggered mother of pearl (MOP) sticks to create a dramatic collar necklace. The 38 MOP pieces are curved. You can wear this with a curved in (as in the photo of me wearing the necklace) or out. Two almond shaped mother of pearl pieces finish the ends of the leather ties. The MOP is in great condition No chips, stains, repairs or replacements. The leather ties show some signs of use. One tie has three stitches that have come loose. I have used a touch of leather glue to secure this. I leave it to the new owner to get this re-stitched if they choose. It is not noticeable when worn. I mention for accuracy.
