? BULK MIXED TALL BEARDED IRIS GROWER'S BOX ?
A great way to start a new iris garden, expand an existing flower bed, or plant a large area without purchasing individual named rhizomes one at a time.
Each box contains approximately 100 baby growth points from our large collection of mixed tall bearded irises.
These are field-grown iris rhizomes from an established collection containing many beautiful named cultivars, including varieties such as Mother Earth, Tempting Fate, Cinque Terre, Crows Feet, Best Bet, Lady Friend, Victoria Falls, Stairway to Heaven, Black Suited, Black Is Black, Sea Power, Entitled, Supreme Sultan, Gambling Man, Boston Cream, Soft Sides, Lovely Senorita, Space Age, and many more.
Our collection includes both reblooming and standard tall bearded irises.
WHAT YOU RECEIVE
? Approximately 100 visible baby growth points
? A natural mixture of larger mother rhizomes, medium rhizomes, smaller offsets/babies, and connected clusters
? 10 × 8 × 4 inch Grower's Box packed with mixed iris planting stock
? Rhizomes are shipped as they naturally grow. Healthy connected clusters may be left together rather than broken apart.
IMPORTANT ? PLEASE READ
This is a random mixed bulk assortment. The varieties have become mixed during growing and digging, so individual cultivars are not identified or guaranteed.
The named varieties shown in our photos and mentioned above are examples of cultivars grown in our collection. Your box is not guaranteed to contain any particular named variety, color, rebloomer, or combination shown.
Growth points also vary naturally in size. Some are small developing offsets attached to larger mother rhizomes, while others are larger established growths. Approximately 100 growth points does not mean 100 individually separated mature rhizomes. Please see our photos for examples of exactly what we mean by a growth point.
WHY WE'RE SELLING THEM IN BULK
This is our end-of-year grower's sell-off. Rather than individually sorting and selling every rhizome, we're offering our mixed planting stock in large bulk boxes.
That means you get a substantial amount of iris planting material at a much lower cost per growth point than purchasing individually labeled cultivars.
PLANTING
Tall bearded iris prefer plenty of sun and well-draining soil. Plant the rhizomes shallowly, with the upper portion of the rhizome at or near the soil surface and the roots extending into the soil.
With proper planting and care, the rhizomes can establish, multiply, and develop into beautiful clumps over time.
Please look through all listing photos before purchasing. We've included close-ups, videos, and diagrams showing the type of rhizomes, baby growth points, natural clusters, and planting material you can expect.
