An absolutely breath-taking American crystal heirloom. A magnificent and rare find with fewer and fewer of these still in existence. An absolutely over-the-top design with copious decorative elements. The foot is adorned with a rich laurel and dot band, which leads you to the solid facet-cut base of the stem that has an addictive tactile finish. Above is the hollow main body of the candlestick, where the signature flower, leaf, and dot design of the pattern Buckingham is intricately cut on all sides. The quantity and quality of these miniscule details is beautiful beyond words. The separated top cup of the candlestick has a buttoned quilt cut in a band with beaded edges as the neutral cherry on top!
The pattern identification came is thanks to materials from the Pairpoint Information Center. I believe I understand the pattern to have likely been made around the 1920's.
This beauty measures 11 ⅞" tall.
