Hard-to-find J.C. Deagan Inc. Chicago 4-note dinner / signal chime, made in the USA.Features four graduated metal tone bars with matching resonator tubes mounted on the original frame. Clearly marked:J.C. DEAGAN INC.
CHICAGO
PATENTED
MADE IN U.S.A.The chimes do produce a clear, pleasant sound when struck and sound very nice to me. I am not an expert, however, and have not professionally tested or verified the exact tuning, pitch, or musical accuracy of each note.Overall the piece displays very well for its age and has a great industrial / musical appearance. It does show expected age-related wear including scratches, finish loss, small chips, oxidation, and general surface wear as shown in the photos.Striker / mallet is not included. These Deagan chimes are collectible pieces associated with historic dinner, signal, railroad, hospitality, and broadcasting applications. Please review all photos carefully for exact condition, markings, construction, and everything included.Sold as seen in the photos.
