This is a rare and exceptional 18th-century Chinese Porcelain Dog Figurine from the Qianlong period, circa 1750/60.

The adorable Spaniel-type Dog is poised in the seated position, with his head turned slightly left, mouth open and sporting a rather wonderful and welcoming facial expression.

He/she is painted in iron-red and wearing a greenish-yellow collar, suspending a large bell with traces of gilding.

With a bushy tail curled to one side.

It is a truly exquisite piece which is tactile when handled.
