Roman Republican silver denarius attributed to C. Servilius M.f., of the Servilia family, circa 136 BC.
Obverse: Helmeted head of Roma facing right, with a wreath behind her head, a denomination mark below the wreath, and ROMA beneath the portrait. Portions of the lettering are incomplete.
Reverse: The Dioscuri, Castor and Pollux, riding horses in opposite directions. The moneyer’s inscription beneath the horses reads C·SERVEILI·M·F, with portions worn or off the flan.

Condition:Clearly appears to have been cleaned in the past. Shows circulation wear, surface roughness, scratches and other marks, with uneven gray toning and some blue coloration. The Roma portrait and both mounted figures remain identifiable. Portions of the peripheral designs and inscriptions are incomplete due to wear and the strike on an irregular flan.
